Giethoorn, Hollands Venetië

Going out on a ‘whisper-boat’ along the Giethoorn canal and lake. We took the two hour route which gives all you want to see. If you want to eat something at the lake restaurant or picnic at the island take an extra hour or so.

Its not Venice at all. It’s completely different, here you will see beautiful landscapes, houses and area is very calm and peaceful. Birds singing and enjoy relax and take pictures.

Absolutely beautiful canal village... went on the boat tour, visited shops & Museum & had lunch.. took some wonderful photos & thoroughly enjoyed the day. Best place to visit for 1 day trip. We took a separate boat 🚣‍♀️ to see the sun set. View was awesome.. food is little bit costlier as it’s mainly a tourist attraction and veg options are least. (Hard for me to find a best restaurant with more veg options 😂) Would love to return some day. Highly Recommend!

It’s a magical atmosphere. Must see!

A beautiful place located in the province of Overijssel. It is very picturesque. Many old houses and many canals (hence the nickname Venice of the north) You can rent a boat and have a few hours of fun. They have an electric motor so silently. You also get a card to know how you can sail. Also some nice souvenir shops. Very touristy but definitely worth a look if you are in the area.
