3 weeks ago I brought my Renault Twingo to Matter Steenwijk to replace my resistance in my car. I delivered the car ready, I removed all dashboard parts and even removed the old resistor. I asked them to replace the resistor and that's all, I would reinstall all Dashboard parts myself because I wanted to wrap some parts. A day later I received a phone call that my heater motor is broken and that it also needs to be replaced. I have agreed to this. Two days later I was able to pick up my car again, the costs were € 634.71 and I was very shocked and protested against the costs. They billed me a full repair, the same hours as they had to disassemble and reassemble all the parts themselves. I have indicated that I do not agree with this, the owner immediately refused to admit his mistake and was immediately unfriendly and unwilling. I did not pay the invoice and went home. after a lot of e-mails he admitted his mistake and took two working hours off the invoice, I immediately picked up my car and asked for the old parts to be returned. Immediately after picking up I noticed that my heater motor / ventilation system was not working properly, still in the car I called Matter and immediately got the owner on the line, I indicated that it was not good and he said that he would be there after the weekend would respond to. That same weekend I had my heater motor checked by a professional to be sure, to my shock the heater motor turned out to be working perfectly. On Monday I unfortunately had to call it myself. The owner said he did not want to speak to me and I would hear from his lawyer. I was very surprised that a garage can be so unprofessional. A few days later I received a message from his lawyer that his client does not want to cooperate and has done nothing wrong. He did not want to provide any warranty or comment on the heater motor that does not appear to be defective. According to the owner I asked for them to fix my heater motor, I did not ask for a working heater system. I have called matter regularly and e-mailed many times, but no response to anything. Only threats with legal and / or personal measures (should I see this as a physical threat) The owner of the garage happens to live with me in the village, and is in the local interest. I fear that he will now make me black in and around the village, I find this quite scary and worrying about a large car company. He also indicated that he would put “his own version of the story” online. Fortunately I have everything written in black and white, and I have audio recordings of almost all telephone conversations, I am very happy with this so that they cannot come up with lies. My advice is: don't fall for it! The Internet is full of complaints about this garage, fortunately I always have that as a backup. Do not work with these people, there are better garages in the area.
