Good presentation of Giethoorn history, how it was like to dig for peat and work in farms. Texts also in English, audio guide also in English. Video of current area residents talking about getting dressed in traditional clothing and how to get reeds for roofing were a nice touch.

Nice compact museum with a bit of local and dutch rural history. Children will enjoy eearing traditional dresses.

Giethoorn known as Venice of Netherlands, is one of the most amazing place to visit in the country. There a pretty good connecting trains and buses and even the NS bikes(bicycle) from the nearest station Steenwijk. A bike ride from station to Giethoorn is fun, my personal experience. The best way to visit this place is to book a boat for yourself prior your visit via Internet so you don't waste your time in search of it which ultimately results in not getting a boat to hang out. It's complete fun place to go with family on a picnic or just to hang out with your friends. Just make sure you keep safe distance in this pandemic #StaySafe #StayFit #KeepSocialDistancing Happy Exploring!!!
