Nice camping place for canoes. I paddled from Steenwijk train station (7.8km) and found the place relatively clean. It can only be reached by the canals. It has a dock, a bench and enough space for 2 tents (the pole sign reads 3, but that'd be a bit packed). I recommend a free standing tent to pitch on the wooden platform (2.5m x 2.5m) because the small patch of grass is muddy. There's a few mice around, I could hear the cars from the road, and some music from Giethoorn. There are cows in the fields around but the camping spot is well sheltered with trees.
Although indicated, certainly no place for 3 tents. Max 1 place to set up a tent. Otherwise swampy / flooded and very overgrown. Decking needs to be replaced. Although a nice and beautiful place, now certainly not recommended. Unfortunately!
Nice quiet place to spend the night with the canoe. Place for 1 or 2 small tents.
