Sauna Het Friese Woud

The owner was too rude and not welcoming foreigners. At the reception he said sorry we don’t have what you are looking for, obviously because we spoke English! & before even explaining what we want! It’s only for Dutch apparently or maybe for his close friends, stay away if you are a foreigner, my advice.

Not too big and not too small. For vegan food you need to talk to the waitress and let the cook surprise you. Free sauna events three times per day (after entry is paid). Swimming pool, jacuzzi, Turkish steam bath and more. Hotel, restaurant and optional extra treatments available.

Great location. Clean. Pleasant sauna guests.

First time here last Saturday. Had a wonderful day. Quiet, not too big, but absolutely enough for a day of relaxation. Food was pretty good. Just a pity that the staff seemed to forget the terrace. Had to walk in several times to order. Because we hadn't seen anyone on the terrace for more than 10 minutes. The staff can also not see the terrace from the bar, perhaps a point of attention that they often walk onto the terrace to see if someone still wants something. Staff is very friendly. All in all a very nice day and certainly worth repeating!

Clean and tidy, Am only used to large sauna complexes, so this was a bit disappointing. Furthermore, friendly staff.
