Description of Reformed Church Reformed Church. A single-edged building with five-sided closure, built in 1753, to which a northern, also five-sided closed extension was added at the end of the 19th century. Memorial stone in southeastern facade 1753. Pulpit XVIId. Copper baptismal arm with pelvis XVII; copper cantor readers XVIII. Psalmbordje 1769. Two-keyboard organ, made in 1874 by L. van Dam and Sons. Introduction CONSISTORY ROOM, executed in the traditional way, which forms a 19th-century extension to the Dutch Reformed Church in Oostwoud. This consistory room is on the east side of the choir of this single-nave church. Description Consistory room built on a rectangular north-south oriented floor plan. The consistory room has one floor under a saddle roof with a black pan. The wallwork of the consistory room is built in red brick, the gables have a vertical bottom with a scalloped bottom edge. The hood has smooth wind springs with top broker at the front and straight guttering. The symmetrical front has a central panel door. The door is reached via a simple natural stone staircase. Each side of the door has a six-fold sliding window, as well as the door skylight with rounded upper corners. The right-hand side has two arched six-way sliding windows, the left-hand side has one arched six-way window. Appreciation The consistory room is of general interest from an architectural and cultural-historical point of view as a cool example of a 19th-century consistory room.
