Nice cemetery, but the paths need to be better maintained. Also a lot of problems with moles.

Small cemetery, sad occasion.

This may apply more to funeral organization Monuta, but I am not sure. What is certain is that today I had a very nasty experience with the funeral of a beloved very old aunt. When we arrived at the cemetery, there was no where we had to go. I'm used to a sign with for example: Uitvaart mrs. X, Aula sister or something. Once we got to the right place, we all had to wait outside in the rain for the door to open, there was then a congestion because in the small hall there was the condolence register where everyone had to fill in their name and address extensively. As a result, we were in the rain even longer. No one was there to steer things in the right direction. Once inside it was dead silent. No music, nothing. It took endless time for a number of employees to start wearing floral arrangements (still in that silence). Then the coffin was brought in in silence, the family was let in, in the increasingly silent silence a candle was lit by a grandchild ... The service itself could not be faulted, only before the end of the last speech did the guides behind us put on all their coats (very rude). We had to get up and some of us got a flower arrangement pressed into their hands (randomly) to carry to the grave. Then after the coffin to the grave along muddy paths (they couldn't do anything about it) and once at the grave the flower arrangements had to be confiscated again by the people who carried them. It lasted and lasted and we just stood on that narrow path in the cold and the rain. Some people were told: just come and stand here (next to the grave), people who did not belong to the family, the family stood side by side on the narrow path. A short word was said by the funeral director and ready. Then all back again (mind you, almost all elderly) towards the reception area. But where? Again no sign. Once there only 1 toilet for men and women. Plus (still) good coffee and a nice cake. All in all, this experience made a very sad day even more sad.

Very moderate cemetery my grandfather actually wanted to lie on alenhof and rightly so!
