A great place as a base for a day in Maastricht, Valkenburg and for walking. The sanitary is simple, but clean and completely fine. The owner is very friendly and hospitable. "Remember, nothing has to be here." No payment machine, but everything old-fashioned via a written cash and reservation book. Has its charm! There are mainly regular guests, with permanent places for a long time. (I suspect years)

Quite dated campsite with no atmosphere (many fixed caravans) and not really an idyllic location as you can hear the highway well. The reason for 3 stars is because the price is there, it is quite cheap. And it is a good base for cycling to Maastricht.

Ivm Heuvelland4daagse spent a week in a tent at the Geul en Dal campsite. Nice, slightly dated but well-kept and clean campsite with friendly manager / owner. Where others had a problem with highway and train, I don't recognize that at all: trains only run during the day and the highway is fairly quiet at night. I also enjoyed the obvious ease with which the owner deals with changes to the reservation. Finally: the campsite is very affordable, which makes the price / quality increase very good makes.
