Only the location is nice, get a holiday feeling but that is it. We have been there for half an hour, no response. Well it can be busy, but after having adjusted the seats three times from the empty table next to us and still no service and it was very quiet, we went back home unimpaired. I will never come here again

Volt was once a successful concept with a daring kitchen. However: taking over a successful tent is not yet a guarantee for maintaining that concept. The atmosphere has disappeared. The 'freebooters feeling' is gone. Been once now that it is called De Baai. But a letdown. Vegetarian? Yes cheese sticks .... that's all folks. Operation that knew neither the hat nor the brim. "Did you sit comfortably"? "The atmosphere is gone," I answered. "Too bad" was the only answer. Not asking further, so apparently no interest. Maybe come back sometime when things are in order.

For the first time at restaurant de Baai .. Unfortunately the weather was not so good to sit outside, and there was a table kept free inside. Friendly service, terrible staff based on the amount of guests. Unfortunately, the wait staff had no professional knowledge whatsoever, and they really had no idea what their job entailed. Cutlery move in the hand (first line in operation) Total unprepared for the evening. No idea what the daily specialty was (catch of the day) No idea, what the ingredients were served on the plates. No idea whether the peeled prawns are on the board. Rule 2 in the hospitality industry: Do you have any information available !! Know what is not there, know what the specialties are, know what is served on the plates. Know what drinks you have and the possibilities .. The guidance makes it clear afweten..Het staff here to be trained and / or educated .. The food was not bad, but not special either. No high flyer in any case. The entourage is as many might expect at that location. Not my taste to be in a derelict shack with a lot of defects .. I am very curious how long this will go well. For the owner, I hope, but there must still be heeeeeeeeel lot of work !!
