Foundation Museum Ceuclum

Very interesting museum with tons of history and very friendly guids, definitely worth a visit

Museum Ceuclum is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the history of Cuijk. It's right next to the church, in a tower of the old church. There are interactive panels that tell about the history of the area, and of Cuijk itself which was founded by the Romans in their upstream march towards the north. It's possible to climb up several flights (note - no comfortable wide stairs, but ancient circular ones and a few plain wooden ladders) where you can go up to floors that show some antiques, higher up is the original bell tower and even further up you can go to the 'roof' of the tower and walk around it, which offers a magnificent view of the area at 35metres / 110ft high. Climb up with good weather and you can see many miles around! If you like history and/or archaeology, this is a place you shouldn't miss. The people there can assist you in Dutch, German and English.

Beautiful museum, clear explanation and nice volunteers

Hans (my alligator) thought it was a very fascinating visit. He thought it was great that he was able to see his ancestors in skeleton form. He just didn't understand how those mates in iron suits were able to conquer such a large area. I mean Hans has captured the whole of Cuijk with his reviews!
