Museum het Petershuis

Gives a nice picture of the history of Gennep and nice exchange exhibitions. Well taken care of.

Small-scale museum. Just bought a book.

Before I leave, I am already lost. Usually come out somewhere, where the world is right, coherent, and shows cohesion. Today the home of Peters, Meters, Paters and Praters in Gennep, a Museum with an enormous historical collection that is lovingly cherished and guarded in a restored late-medieval three-storey building. A soaked Saturday morning, a trip through the green tunnel of the Reichswald, Ven-Zelderheide exit, to my left the Niers, loyal Stromer, dreamer and companion, designer of endless vistas. A cheerful mind, a torrent of narrow, fleeting memories of the Snake Pit in the former Maria Roepaan. Other times, shreds of mist and mist, images of histories never described. The volunteers in the Museum are virtue, firm, resolute, friendly and are happy to give advice about this house with advice and action. Familiar acquaintances with soul under their arm, sit down for a chat. Outside lightning and thunder, the torrential rain, it is warm and cozy inside. From deep down to far up, everything is provided, with the elevator I cross the building in peace without looking or blushing. I absorb the images, photos, pots, pans, shards, nails and hooks, the entire history of Gennep and the surrounding area and everything falls into place. It is dry, I can hit the road again.
