I bought an Audi A6 and booked the BOVAG at Vaartland.nl in Helmond. The seller (has already left the company) was nice and courteous. At the handover, the fuel cap was broken, which delayed the handover on the day. At this moment I thought that this was only an unfortunate coincidence. When I got in and wanted to put my sunglasses in the appropriate case, I realized that this didn't open. At that time I didn't realize that this little things is the beginning of something bigger. I was told that I should make a list of all defects and that it was covered by the warranty/BOVAG. Already in the first days with the car I noticed more and more problems (e.g. Engine, Brakes, Infotainment, etc). Before the warranty expired, I handed over my car together with the list to the partner garage (AD Autobedrijf Marco van Hoof, Helmond). The car was in the garage for a full three weeks and nothing was done. Every week they promised me that the car will be finished for the next week. They promised to call me, in case of a delay, but this never happened. I need to call them every week. I didn't want to wait for nothing and picked up the car after three weeks. If that was not enough, I had an additional scratch on the surface. This garage is such unprofessional that it couldn't even park the car in a manner without damaging it. Unbelievable that a garage like this is still part of BOVAG. I paid 1.400 EUR for BOVAG without having any benefit from it, even by claiming problems in time. It is difficult to file a complaint with Vaartland.nl because the staff is constantly changing. With the payment of the car, the service seems to stop at this point. After my written complaint I was assigned another workshop (Vakgarage, The Hague). This company refused the repair because the partnership with Vaartland.nl was terminated. What I can understand through out, because a partnership is not worth it, if you prepare a car only for sale and does not care about the maintenance. The partner then has to deal with all complaints. The car was neither properly maintained by the previous owner nor by Vaartland.nl. These do not take care of security for the buyer. For car of an amount of 29.000,- EUR, I now sit at 12.000,- EUR estimated repair costs. The car was longer in the garage than I could drive it. All these tricks and unprofessional behaviors can be compared with scam. If you are searching with Google for customers having problems with Vaartland.nl, you will notice that this seems to be their system how they deal customers. From my personal experience I can only recommend to avoid this company. By avoiding this company our streets are much saver and you will save a lot of money and stress.
