32 year old wanted to buy cigarettes but was asked for ID. She could produce a photo of her ID but that was refused. The fact that she clearly looked older than 18 was ignored while that is legally accepted. Company policy is looking older than 25 they said. So far it is awkward but still hanging on their right of interpretation. But when they refused to sell it to her friend, who did have a valid ID, because they found it inappropriate, they really went out of line! It was like they didn't wanted to be defeated. Only when i showed up they did sell me the cigarettes, no ID. I hope it wasn't the fact that i am a native dutch person and the 2 ladies were of central European heritage trying to speak dutch. This whole story played out whitout raising voices or emotional outbursts, just a great disappointment.

The supermarket itself it's nice. Lots of products. Great variety. The staff though is not friendly at helping at all.

Expensive supermarket. Packages are smaller for the same price as everywhere else.
