I have been a patient in the ophthalmology department since the 90's and can therefore say that I have experienced part of the growth of ophthalmology. . I am now very satisfied with the design, my treatments, the guidance and the results of the operation that I had to undergo. I also had to be checked twice a year and then an eye measurement and an examination + discussion were planned in succession. Maybe this is because I have to drive more than 150 km. Maybe for another reason? I would talk to the doctor who treated me. But at least I don't go to a hospital that is closer to me, because I like the AZM. And there is sometimes something, for example a long waiting time, because a patient with a bigger problem than mine comes first, or because a patient should have been in a traffic jam for me.

My aunt of 86 must always have 2 appointments, one for field of vision measurement and then the appointment with the doctor. Unfortunately, these appointments cannot take place in one day and she must travel to Maastricht for 2 days with the van and / or with the informal caregiver (who must then also take two days off). I was told on the phone that the clinic had already raised it with the management several times, but nothing was done with it. So there is no alternative but to take two days (partially) off and go with her to Maastricht, 1st for half an hour (incl. Waiting time) and the first appointment was 2 hours the last time, of which 10 minutes at the doctor. Efficiency is hard to find, healthcare is already expensive enough.

Good treatment, but always a different doctor or co-assistant. Everything goes according to agreement. But you're still waiting for hours. Can better keep open consultation hours.
