This is Casemate 3 of the Geul Line. This type S-3 casemate was part of the Border Line of the Dutch Geul Line. It is a bit hidden in the middle of Kerkrade on private grounds with a fence around it. The Territorial Commander in South Limburg (TBZL) constructed two resistance lines, namely a border line with 4 S-3 casemates and a delay line with 30 S-3 casemates. These casemates had three loopholes. Source: Traces of war
