Hampshire Hotel - Voncken Valkenburg

+The location is great and very close to all restaurants. +There is A/C in the room and it actually worked. +Check in/out was quick, convenient, no fuss. All additional payments were as advertised, everything was honest. +Pets are allowed for an additional fee. They are not allowed in the dining room (which is actually good) but other than that - they can go anywhere. -The breakfasts were mediocre at best. No variety at all. It was the same omelette, boiled eggs, bacon, and some sliced ​​meat and cheese. There was also bread, jam, cereal, some yogurt and cut fruit. But no fresh vegetables or salads at all, during all our stay. Coffee was really bad too. Food was so disappointing we wanted to go to the restaurant instead. -Staff - staff would open the doors and come to our room WITHOUT knocking, and we never asked them to come. They would just show up, open the door, come in and ask if we had anything from the mini bar. What?! No "excuse me, is anyone here? Can we come in?", No "sorry but we were doing some checks and wondering if it was you who needed ...", nothing. And that happened SEVERAL TIMES (3-4) during our stay. We didn't feel like we had privacy at all, this had never happened in any hotel before. Who comes to a room without knocking?! That is very unprofessional and unacceptable. -Two beds put together were not comfortable and they were light and moved easily, as if they were on wheels. You can easily fall between the beds if you turn and are not being careful. This wasn't a deal breaker but I hope hotel staff will see this and be able to fix.

Family hotel. Not like a chain

Comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Easy to get to by car yet close to old town centre. Convenient parking only 100m from hotel.

The staff is super. They are professional but still nice. They makes us feels home. My Husband have stayed in this hotel everytime he have a business trip to Masstricht. Recomended...also close to food district and the centrum. Love it!!!!!!!
