In the garden of the Sint Martinus church is this monument, called "The Unsaturated", in the form of a bronze statue of a male figure that depicts determination and strength. The statue is placed on a column of concrete. On the column is an image of a Star of David and a cross. Four raised bronze memorial plates are placed on the base. Around the pole are 24 bronze tiles with the names of victims who died because of the atrocities of the Holocaust. The four commemorative plaques that sit in the ground at the foot of the column contain the names of nineteen war victims from Beek. The memorial plaques were added to the monument in 1984. The cross is not only a symbol of the Christian faith, but also recalls the sacrifice that the war victims made for a life in freedom
