I ride a motorcycle, and the municipality of Maastricht is continuously trying to keep motorcycles and mopeds off "Stationsplein". Since this is the Q-park closest to my office (and the office gets reduction-tickets for it), I would like to use it on regular basis. I have tried to park my motorcycle over 10 times in this Q-park, but it seems Q-park is not made for motorcycles. Each time I try to get in the entrance sensors won't register the motorcycle (which is not the lightest with 250kg+), and I have to call the info-desk to get a ticket and open the entrance gate. This adds about 1-2 minutes to get past the entrance gate. And the end of the day, I take the reduction-ticket I get from work towards the payment machine, which has the following instructions: 1: Enter your reduction/discount ticket; 2: Enter your parking-ticket. Each time I have done this, something went wrong at the machine. Most of the time I enter the reduction-ticket, enter the parking-ticket, see the message "the amount you have to pay has been reduced by 100%", and the next thing I know is I see the amount I would have to pay without the reduction-ticket on the screen. Since the reduction-tickets I use are for 100% reduction, which is swallowed by the machine, I need to (again) call the info-desk to have them help me. This adds another 4-5 minutes to the entire "leaving the parking lot" activity. Most of the time the people at the info-desk ask "What's on the screen?", which is a thing I understand, and help me through the entire thing without second-guessing the entire situation. They can see what kind of tickets I entered, so it would be useless for me to lie about this. But it also happened the employees told me to pay the amount presented on the display. Since I use the 100% reduction-ticket, this is a no-go. Once, the payment machine worked fine. I got my parking-ticket (which was payed for) back and rode towards the entrance/exit gate. I tried to enter the parking-ticket into the machine, but the exit-machine wouldn't accept it. Again, this adds another 2 minutes to the entire "leaving the parking lot" activity. That time the info-desk almost made me pay for the ticket, while it was already payed. I have e-mailed with Q-park about parking the motorcycle in the Q-park, and asked them about the payment methods and possibilities for motorcycles. The direct answer they had was "a motorcyclist pays the same amount as a car-driver." no discussion whatsoever possible. This is fine, but in that case the Q-park should also be a good experience for motorcyclists (the same as for car-drivers). I hope Q-park is going to do something about this, because the bills my office has to pay for these parking-tickets are not that low (Maximum daily rate is €14,- per day per employee). For that amount of money it should be possible to fix this, or create another way for motorcyclists to park their motorcycle in the Q-park without the hassle they have to deal with at this moment. Plus, they should fix the issue at the payment machine. That cannot be that hard. Motorcyclists are known to enter a Q-park parking without getting a ticket by going past the gates, but Q-park will fine you for this. The reason most motorcyclists do this is because of the issues Q-park is known for. If a group of, say 10, motorcyclists are in line, waiting for the system to work, the first one to enter is just paying to wait for the rest to get in. That cannot be the way a parking is supposed to get their money.

Clean Parking but not cheap at all. Parking rules in Maastricht are awful. You Better have to come with public transportation.
