One of our favorite museums in the Netherlands to spend the day with children. Very thoughtful displays explaining the aviation history. A great combination of indoor and outdoor activities for different ages. During sinterklaas they have special activities for children. Catering at museum is basic during corona time, but we often visit the McDonald (drive through) just five min by car from the museum.
We've been here several times already. It's a great place to go to with kids. Interesting things to see and catch up on some history. The kids loved all the planes and the outside playground. Last time the inside playground was unfortunately closed because of corona.
It has been some years since I have been here but it was not a disappointed. Although currently some planes are not accessible due to Covid, there's still enough to see. The collection is gorgeous, especially the Constellation (Connie) is a true beauty. The volunteer at the radio stack was very friendly and explains in every detail how communication worked during the early years of aviation. Recommended!
Amazing place to get a flight experience
If you're Dutch a must see in your lifetime. Great history about planes ans the Dutch way of airspace-exploration. Kids will love this since there are a lot of demo units which they can operates themselves to get a bit of an idea of aerodynamics
