B&B Koepeltjesplaats

Spacious house (we stayed in the front house) with every comfort, especially the spacious kitchen and lounge sofa! Location is near the IJsselmeer, Workum and Hindeloopen. Cycled a lot in the area, there is also sufficient tourist information available in the house. There is a large garden with various seating areas that you can use. Hostess and host are very nice and helpful. Nice also with the free roaming chickens! Cons · lighting in the bathroom, which is a bit sparse.

Dome place is a wonderful place to stay for a weekend, midweek or week. I stayed in the B&B with a friend and it was fantastic. It is actually a small apartment with all comforts: sitting corner with fireplace, large dining table, two beds, a separate room where the refrigerator is, crockery cupboard and a large bathroom with Jacuzzi. Coffee and tea options and a cupboard full of walking and cycling routes and other tourist information. The space of the "room" is wonderfully large with a view over the beautifully landscaped estate. There is a nice terrace with table and chairs where, in good weather, you can have breakfast or enjoy after a long bike ride. The silence, the view, the space, the beautifully situated farm immediately gives a feeling of getting away from it all. The hostess Ilse was very hospitable. We rented bicycles in nearby Makkum. She brought us and collected us to the bicycle shop so that we could just leave our car at the B&B. Nice contact and always up for a chat. In the morning she brought breakfast which was delicious and the 3 days we were there slightly different each time. There was plenty. We could use a plastic bag at breakfast to take that which was too much for the road on the bike. This B&B is top notch in Corona time. A private entrance, on your own terrace or in the room at the table to have breakfast together and enough space in and around the farm. Enough privacy, while you can, if you want, also have contact with other guests because there is a communal covered area with a fireplace in the garden where everyone can stay so that there is also the opportunity to chat with other guests. Domes place is traditionally a farm but with a lot of love, a lot of work and time transformed into this estate. Everything reflects the vision of the owners who wanted to make this place a place to share with others. A vision and dream that has come true after hard work. The environment is great. Less than a two-minute walk and you are on the dike at the IJsselmeer. Cycling routes start from the B&B. Characteristic villages such as Hindeloopen and Stavoren are easy to cycle. The wind in your hair and carts. The vastness of the landscape, the sheep that you encounter everywhere, the water, the nice vistas, the bridges make this part of the Netherlands a real "foreign". In short: Koepeltje place is on many fronts a place to never forget and certainly recommended for anyone who wants to get away from everything for a reasonable price.

Nice apartment, and large, fully equipped. Very clean. With a lovely large garden, we were lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy it well. Nice contact with the owner, just made a chat.
