Sint-Magnuskerk

The Magnuskerk is very beautifully and centrally located in the village of Anloo in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a very ancient Romanic church - initially built around the year 1100! And before those days, there appear to have been wooden churches in this location. The tower of the church was built in the 12th century and was last significantly renovated in 1894 when it received stair steps on the front. The organ in the church was installed in 1718. A regular touristic event in the church is the reenactment of the Etstoel - an ancient court session.

Now a cafe and small concert hall.

A nice church to see, especially at dusk and when the church is lit up. This church is from Anloo in Drenthe.

We thought it was a beautiful church. And restored so beautifully. Lots of visible galatians.
