The personel luck knowledge about rules and laws if it comes to exchanging foreign driver license. That's exactly what RDW told me. They asked to give them call again when " by de balie" so they will educate ladies working there. Long story short gemente Katwijk refused to exchange my legitimate EU driver license for the Dutch one on basis that original was lost years ago and I just renewed it. In another words my foreign driver license (renewed one) was too fresh for them. According to RDW - total nonsense. Two thumbs down for Katwijkse Gemente.

104 euro fine for parking the car with a piece of wheel on the sidewalk. Ridiculous

Attended registered partnership with my daughter and son-in-law today. Neatly arranged, dear civil registrar. Covid measures were well implemented.

The pace and arrogance with which employees sit behind the counter is truly cringe-worthy. Not to mention the good ones, including the lady who helped me. Had an appointment to pick up a driver's license. First walked around the building for 10 minutes (came by bike) before I found an entrance. It turned out that the parking garage indicated where the entrance was. Maybe also an idea to indicate this for cyclists. Then sat in the waiting room where 3 people were seated. I have been able to wait there for 15 minutes until I was helped. One of the ladies was making a phone call to death, leaving only two counters open. Not really customer friendly
