this school gives way too many tests and homework. most of the teachers expect far too much from their students. if you send your kids to this school they will be so stressed that their mental health will be ruined. many children are bullied or excluded. this school should not have an excellent school title.

Every year the Wassenaar parents cheer when their child is admitted to the Rijnlands Lyceum, the porch of the better annual clubs at the corps and a life in the better circles. The murmur starts 3 months later when the equally vain and naive parent has discovered where dear child has ended up. The influx to Rijnlands is excellent: children with a high IQ who have already seen a lot of the world. However, the zest for work is inversely proportional so Rijnlands sets the bar high from the start. If you do not perform, you can continue your school career one floor later. TTO - what could be nicer than mathematics in English - quickly turns out to be too much effort for many people and because of the high outflow figures, Rijnlands also maintains a HAVO. Excellent school does not take much effort with such a population and a clever system of downgrading of students. And if it doesn't work in Rijnlands, Winford or another commercial school is ready to help get a diploma. Thanks for your response, Mr. Your shock surprises me again. I mention parental satisfaction and transfer figures. I have visited the site that you recommend. When I look at parental satisfaction, Rijnlands appears to score very poorly. Lower than any other lyceum in the Leiden / The Hague region with some ambition. Also lower than the national reference group. Unfortunately, I am not getting a picture of the transfer figures. It would be enlightening, for example, to show the current exam classes where they started and how many years it took them.

The Rijnlands is a good medium-sized HAVO / VWO school with good facilities, in a beautiful school building and in a nice environment in Wassenaar. The atmosphere at school is very pleasant, pupils enjoy each other, bullying does not occur, and there is a very enthusiastic team of teachers, and a generally good organization. There are many extra activities, such as an art class, open podium, sports, olympiade, MUN. There are also opportunities to take additional courses or obtain language certificates. Points for attention for the school: at a table night you can schedule a maximum of two conversations (with two teachers). Furthermore, not all teachers use the digital learning system (for homework and stuff) that is sometimes confusing.
