Nice and wealthy hoods

Beautiful, quiet, historic place in a 19th-century residential area. This pond was created as a wheel during a dike breach of Schielands Hoge Zeedijk at the end of the 13th century and served as the moat of the Honingen Castle, which was built afterwards. The designation on Google Maps as "Meertje" is incorrect, it is not called that and nobody calls it that. The water is called the Slotvijver.
