Rotterdam main post office

Was lucky enough to visit before it closed for renovation. Am amazing place with lots of history. Hope the restoration and building of apartments doesn't destroy to much of three old heritage..

On the occasion of the Rotterdam Architecture Month this building was temporarily re-opened before the renovation starts... Wonderful building

This is a huge building with a lot of space inside. Not only in the main hall, but especially in the other parts. Old offices, big spaces, technical spaces, great views from almost every window, beautifull stair cases and even aan old fashioned open lift, alike the one in the "Van Uden Building". You feel the purpose this building once had, it wil be a great hotel. Hopefully the design of the tower will be finetuned, to better match the atmosphere and style of the post office.
