De Matroos en Het Meisje

I enjoyed a pretty much perfect dinner at De Matroos, so glad I was able to get a table last minute, thank you. Very interesting decor, I mean that in a good way, I kept looking around at the wallpaper and other details that were popping out. Upscale presentation of dishes. Highly recommend.

We love this place. Slightly expensive but the service and food always impeccable! Love all the dishes they create. The food is innovative and the veggie options aren’t an afterthought. They really do put in the thought! I would 100% recommend this place. Not so sure why they haven’t got a Michelin bib or some sort of recognition!!

Food: delicious. With the exception of a vegetable soup, the rest of dishes are very tasty, taking calculated risks in mixing ingredients with an overall excellent end result. Service: attentive, kind, well mannered. Tips for further improvement: turn down the music one notch, at points it was too loud. Adapt the dressing code of the service to the type of restaurant. The customers dress up more than the waitresses or waiters, and this is a bit confusing.

Great food and great service. I wouldnt have picked all the wines that were picked for each dish, which is why i didnt give 5 stars

What a truly rewarding place — quality food, reasonable wines and delicate presentation / service. I shall definitely return.
