Is not there anymore in Lisse

Leemans has helped me so much today that I even think this one star is too much. Last Saturday, December 23, I walked through the shopping street of Lisse to make my last Christmas purchases. Halfway through I walk past the Leemans and realize that I can use a pair of new shoes. Always had good experiences at the branch in Hillegom, so why not walk into Lisse? I enter and soon I have a pair of very nice shoes in mind. Unfortunately, these shoes were not in my size at this time, but Ms could order them from the branch in Noordwijk. However, the delivery would then only take place after Christmas. Oh well, that is not a big problem for me and I can also understand that the delivery person is busy for Christmas and would like to celebrate Christmas with the family. The shoes would then be delivered to the store on Wednesday 27 or Thursday 28 December, after which I could pick them up. That is not a problem and Ms. guaranteed that I can expect a call one of those days. So after Christmas, I am waiting for that bell that will not come in the end. Tuesday, January 2, I decide to take matters into my own hands and call the branch to ask about my shoes. The lady on the other end of the line apologizes immediately that the Christmas weeks have been a bit busy and the shoes will not be delivered until the end of this week. First, I think to myself: a small update on the 27th or 28th would have been at least as neat, then I would have known where I stood. And secondly, Leemans, with all her experience, can estimate this pressure a year in advance and thus adjust the logistics process accordingly. Anyway, I understand that there is not much Ms can do about it and she promises that I can expect a call at the end of the week. Fortunately, this bell will come on Friday morning, January 5, "Good morning, sir, I have the good news that your shoes have arrived. When do you think you can pick them up?" "Well ma'am, I am still working today, but I will come by tomorrow. Thank you!" No sooner said than done. So I drop by this afternoon and as soon as I ask for my shoes, the lady replies that she has already sold them! How is that possible?! I only got the call yesterday! "Well, sir, these shoes have been around since December 22, so we called you back and you didn't come to pick them up, so we'll sell them to other customers," she said. "That seems stiff madam, because I was only in the store on Saturday the 23rd and I only had the call yesterday, after I first called Tuesday myself." I quickly grab the log files of our telephone calls, but the lady apologizes. Immediately afterwards she offers the opportunity to re-order these shoes, which would mean that I go through the same process again, that process that I just had a bad experience with. Furthermore, Ms does not say a single word about an allowance or compensation for the treatment I have had. I respond here that I am not just waiting for this again. At the very least, I expect Ms to recognize that here several mistakes have been made by Leemans and then what form of compensation would be appropriate. But Ms can only respond with "Our apologies, but we can not help it, it must have been a miscommunication." For me, that was the proverbial straw and I decided to leave the store and post this review. Firstly, I would have expected much better service from Leemans, both by phone and in-store, and secondly, I hope that the Leemans staff will read this and take this review with them, so that other customers can be helped more satisfactorily in the future. This may have been an incident, but for me the measure is full. I hope this will no longer occur at Leemans and I will buy my shoes elsewhere for now.
