The rudest staff ever! I called to ask about a high tea certificate for my friend, and asked if we could talk in English. The woman just said "NO" (in English, lol) and hang up. I did not even have a chance to try to continue in Dutch. Don't even care about their cakes anymore, really.

Small tea House with a living room atmosphere. Has great food, sweet and hearty options. A great stop for lunch when you're touring the countryside of Groningen

A small cozy coffee-teahouse in an equally small village. The house dog is called Lobke and has a dog house next to the front door and a place to lie in the garden. Doesn't hurt a fly, don't shoot. I ordered a tonic, and you get it. No ice cubes or lime, you have to ask for that. Friendly prices, you can also sit outside. There is not really parking space in the narrow street, but if you manage you can relax there. They take the corona rules very seriously, we were not allowed to sit down until our spot was "disinfected", which then happened with a bottle where Ajax was on. If you are not cycling or touring, you can go there for a snack. Certainly do.
