Museum Prinsenhof Delft

This museum is very rich in its collection though not that big. Still it took me 2,5 hours to see the exhibits and enjoy the atmosphere of William the Silent (Willem van Oranje) epoch. I think that it’s worth including it into your must see list when you are in Delft.

Nice museum in an old convent, nice exhibition, place with alot of history. We came late because of a huge traffic delay caused by roadworks. The lady at the entrance taking our museum card was very accommodating, friendly and professional but an elderly lady with long hair in charge of the audiophones was very unprofessional, rude and unfriendly. Saying because we only had an hour we could not get an audiophone. We left the museum at 4.56pm. We knew what time it was closing, it was not for her to decide on renting us the audiophones. We will visit the museum again when we have more time but in times like this, these kind of people are the the ones to bring down the business and definitely the service. Totally uncalled for!

The tour took me around 2 hours. Would be better if there are more sofas.

Great museum, especially for you who wants to know some history of House of Orange and Delft!

Housed in the building which was the stage of one of the most famous assassinations in Dutch history, the permanent exhibition focuses on the event that happened there. As this is an important event in Dutch history, it is especially tailored to school trips. The museum also has a large collection of Delft based masters.
