The A.M. is enclosed between Churchilllaan, Kometenlaan and Marslaan. de Jongpark. It is a small park where Mosque Ulu in Bergen op Zoom is located. The story of the famous Bergenaar is set out in white letters with a large memorial stone. There you can read: Adrianus Michiel de Jong (1888 - 1943) was a journalist, literary critic and writer of widely-read novels. He lived in Bergen op Zoom from 1925 to 1930 and was a member of the Municipal Council for the S.D.A.P. (Social Democratic Workers' Party) from 1927 - 1930. Because of his openly anti-fascist attitude, he was murdered on 18-10-1943.
