We had several problems with our purchase of pine wood flooring. The boards did not have consistent quality: boards 2 m in length were perfect, but boards of 2.4 m were warped, causing difficult installation and uneven finished floor. We complained about this to the company but were not offered any solutions. When ordering the wood, we asked how much oil to purchase, the amount was vastly underestimated by the company causing us a second trip to Montfoort to buy more (after having paid delivery cost of 95 euro for delivery). We ordered the oil by the number code displayed in the show room, but the oil delivered to us was a completely different color. Since the numbers are not related to the name on the canister, our contractor had already treated much of the wood before we saw that the color was incorrect, so we settled for the incorrect color. Finally, different advice about how many coats of oil was given to us than to our contractor, resulting in frustration for us and the contractor because we asked for two coats of oil when apparently one is sufficient.

Paul helped a lot with choosing a floor. Furthermore, Paul was easily accessible for questions. The runner has laid the floor beautifully, so our attic has now become a beautiful bedroom. In short, a great shop, good product and beautifully laid.

We bought a beautiful oak herringbone floor for the ground floor at Vloerenhal Montfoort. The result has turned out beautifully. The laying service was also top notch. The price-quality ratio is top and Vloerenhal Montfoort is highly recommended!

The boards are beautiful, and the problems that have arisen have been neatly solved. But what is a huge damper to this whole experience is that a white oil stain has remained on our new granite worktop after the wooden floor has been laid, which does not just go out. The kitchen is just 2 weeks old. What I am 100% sure is that it was not there the day before, then I cleaned the whole countertop, and after they oiled the floor here one day with white oil, there is a white oil stain on the countertop. Liability is denied by everyone. I quite believe it has been wrong and / or they have not even realized it themselves. But I think we should be able to assume that something like that is handled with care. There is also one of our new kitchen towels used to wipe paint (despite the fact that we had given them 2 old towels). That was by accident and apologies were offered for that. But that is how it went with the counter, not paying attention. We are now after a renovation with a new kitchen with a stain that we have not made ourselves and what we can now happily solve ourselves. And that just isn't right.
