Great place for lunch, coffee and cake! During the confinement, we have been ordering lunch there regularly, the Burcht Burger is delicious. The atmosphere and decor in the restaurant is also great, we did not get to enjoy it much yet because of the Covid crisis, but when it opens again, it will be a hotspot of Vleuterweide!
Went for lunch, great espresso! Nice pie and the décor is nice, Roomy but Warm and cozy. Great to take small kids as well.

I experience De Burcht as variable. I order a bagel or lunch box at least once a week. The burrata salad is super delicious. The carpaccio bagel too, but I also had it once and then it was Mwah. The bagel with chicken was delicious recently. In terms of dinner, I ordered the burger a few times and it was really great! However, last time on Valentine's Day was really disappointing. I got the burger on a plain simple soft white bun. Looked like the snack bar. The previous times it was on a luxurious white sphere. My husband had chicken satay and it was tasty but lukewarm on delivery. While we really live close to the restaurant.
The amounts in terms of food have also decreased compared to before.
I do not give up at the castle yet, but my experiences are somewhat mixed.
Ordered the 3-course menu this week. Everything delivered on time. The carpaccio and the salmon tartare were delicious. The main course was brought warm and the ribs were superb. Maybe the potatoes a bit too salty, but it could also be that we eat without salt. The food was plentiful. But a sandwich with the starter could be an addition. Keep it up!
