I was not particularly impressed with Heren van Houten. The starter selection plate was decent but my main course was rather plain (I had the salmon), that of my partner was nice (chicken kebobs). Loved the desserts however: my partner had the balsamic marinated strawberries and I had coffee with delicious bonbons. The waiting time between meals was to my taste unacceptable. Service was nice but nothing special. I'd go there again though!
Very nice place and good service !
My first lunch here and really enjoyed the broodje kroket, a Dutch traditional snack on bread with mustard. The flavoured teas are also very nice and love the quotes on their labels. Service also very good!
I’ve been eating and drinking at this establishment since it opened. Erik and his staff give an exceptional level of service, and his food and drink is way above expectations. Erik makes a real creative effort to provide something that is lacking in Houten: entertainment and a friendly and personal atmosphere. Great place!
A cafe in the heart of city centre. Was not crowded. Food was good.
