Friendly staff, but definitely didn't even try to keep their distance with regards to the current corona regulations. The "croquettes on bread" were a little disappointing as you just get basic sandwich bread rather than a fresh bun or so, but it was still tasty. Not sure if it was worth nearly €9 though. There's a nice outside seating area with plenty of shade so you can sit in the relative cool.

Skip if you have a specific diet. My pre requested vegan and no wheat meal was truly uninspiring. Soup was too salty. Main course was nothing more than lentils, green beans and beets. Desert was OK though.

Most villages in Holland have a place for social events, called 'dorpscafé'. Sometimes more of a café and sometimes more of a restaurant, mostly accompanied with a space for events like a weddingparty etc. In Bunnik Het Wapen has grown to a nicely situated grand café with a beautiful terras and a great cook. Excellent lunch and diner menu. Nice staff serve you a perfect beer (try the weißen!). A perfect pitstop at your wander- or cyclingtour in this lovely area around Utrecht and Zeist.

Not much in Bunnik. Nice bar and restaurant to visit.
