A nice and big hospital, we normally go to Utrecht so I didn't expect such a big hosp. in zeist. We were 15 min late on an appointment with our baby but that was not a problem. Besides the appointment our doctor prescribed us some tests which we could do right after the appointment. Thank you diakonessenhuis and Dr. Van Ree.

I was in their operation room , staff are nice and friendly- they look after patients carefully- they speak English :)

I think it's downright scandalous what I've just experienced. There was an elderly man of 92 at the reception of the main entrance who, after a very hard day, no longer knew exactly where his car was. That day he was hit behind the ambulance to the hospital and parked his car there. After being in the hospital, the gentleman wanted to go home and came out at the main entrance and said to the receptionist (I don't know her name, but glasses and curly blond hair) that he didn't know where his car was or in at least didn't know where to go. In the end it came down to the fact that the gentleman had to figure out for himself where his car was and if a barrier was closed, he had to make a call. I saw the gentleman looking around outside and had overheard part of the conversation, but not exactly. So I ask the sir if everything is okay, and he tells me he doesn't know where his car is and how to get there, all he knew is he chased the ambulance. He was really disappointed with the help (at least, no help) he received from the receptionist, after which I offered to take him to his car. He was very grateful to me and I think that is a small effort. I don't think you can deal with people like that, and certainly not a man of 92 who has had a very difficult day. Really, shame on you!

Nowadays you can no longer have blood taken at a GP station and you will be referred to Diaconessenziekenhuis in Zeist. This is done by appointment and therefore shorter waiting times. Perfectly arranged!
