The Bastion on the western tip of the Vijfwal is so far the largest of the three bastions realized on the corners of the Vijfwal. On top is a climbing device, where children (and other climbers) have an even better overview and overview. From here towards the south, the Vijfwal is perhaps the best to see: a long, wide green zone of about 1 km long to the southwestern point of the Vijfwal. The rampart is a pentagonal structure that connects the whole of Houten-Zuid and consists of wide, tree-lined dikes, approximately 1.50 meters high and 35 meters wide on average. On the corners there are characteristic elevations in the form of so-called bastions: in the west it is located in the Water district.
