Stadsmuseum Almelo

At the moment there is a special exhibition in the city museum Almelo, namely '75 Years Almelo Vrij '. You can view unique historical film images from the Second World War. In addition, the permanent exhibition provides a beautiful picture of Almelo's past, including that of textiles. You can also view images of famous people from Almelo. Who does not know Herman Finkers or Ilse de Lange. Water and Almelo are closely intertwined. The water has caused some disaster in the past. You can stroll through this museum and, depending on your interest, delve into several subjects. You will also find all kinds of old utensils. You will receive a personal introduction during the visit. It may be a relatively small museum, but there is plenty to see.

Small museum, which we visited for the Barbie exhibition. That was disappointing. Many dolls, special ones too, but no explanation. Well worth seeing: the beautiful courtyard and the video fragments with famous Almeloers.
