Huge public parking lot but sometimes too small even so. Use credit or debit card to get in and avoid queues to validate and pay parking ticket.

On the beach of Castricum you will find several beach pavilions where you can eat or drink something. Castricum aan Zee is located on the North Sea, west of the villages Bakkum and Castricum, in the middle of the North Holland Dune Reserve. From the village center of Castricum, the beach entrance on the Zeeweg (N513) can be reached by bicycle in about 10 minutes. It is 5 minutes from the village center of Bakkum. In the summer months, bus 868 from Connexxion runs from the station to the beach in about 10 minutes. Dogs and horses are allowed on the beach: from October 1 to April 30: all day from 1 May to 30 September: only before 10am and after 7pm. This also applies if the dog is on a leash and even if it is not beach weather. You are obliged to clean up your dog or horse's excrement.
