Nice place to visit. Great night life in Amsterdam.
worst location ever.

OBA is seen by many as one of the most important landscape artists of our time. The work of art “Bulk Terminal”, with its steaming black heaps - always on the move, no day the same - with its large, heavy, and exorbitantly noisy excavators and with its boats sailing in and out and freight trains coming and going all the time. , can best be described as a dystopian Gesamtkunstwerk. It is precisely through the use of the hyperbole - nothing is mediocre about this work of art - that, paradoxically, OBA criticizes the human deficit in an extremely subtle way, without losing sight of the downside of the imminent post-capitalist epoque. Nevertheless, it is undeniable that OBA opts for the easy way, for clichés and outright imitation. Gerhard Richter made a series of impressive black monographs at the end of the 1990s. The lesser-known, but just as revolutionary Congolese-Belgian artist Jaap Mbungu was already experimenting with agricultural machinery, Playmobil and unpeeled potato heaps in his Romanian studio in the 1960s. How innovative is OBA viewed in this way? But also practical: how valuable is a work of art if public access is systematically limited by high gates and barriers? OBA has potential, for sure! But all credit really deserves a critical note. Three stars.
