Bijles aan de Kreek - Bregje Hoeks

As a happy mother of two lovely kids, I started to doubt their knowledge and skills about some basic matters last school year. My son (11) faltered in reading comprehension and my daughter (7) dropped calculations. The Corona crisis presented itself and in my role as a teacher, among other things, my doubts unfortunately became reality. I soon found out that my role as a teacher was not appreciated… .. I was too close and, despite all the good intentions, escalations arose that did not make it any more pleasant. I enlisted the help of Bregje through a few tips, who was well received by the kids from the first meeting. "If I get tutoring from her, I think I will enjoy it". Thank God, this positive tone from my children was also the tone that Bregje continued with them. They both went to her with pleasure and almost immediately achieved great results. My son started to read enthusiastically, understood the assignments around reading comprehension better and the results did not lie either. My daughter went back to the basics of arithmetic, picked it up very well from there together with Bregje and is now at the level that is desirable. Besides growing in their results, they both got a boost in self-confidence. This combination means that they have regained pleasure in things that were not self-evident at first. They are looking forward to it again, are enthusiastic, get good grades and are happy to work at home and at school. It may sound too good for words, but I can only say very enthusiastically that it really is what I am experiencing and seeing. I am very happy with Bregje, my kids are growing on many fronts because of her. Since June our son Benjamin has had math tutoring at Bregje Hoeks of Bijles aan de Kreek. In group 4 we, together with the school, found out that he has problems with automation and may also have dyscalculia. Because of the tutoring, his backlog is catching up. We see him progress. He enjoys going to Bregje every week for tutoring. She practices arithmetic in a playful way with fun materials. In addition, she also regularly coordinates with his teacher so that the math goals for tutoring and school are aligned. We are very satisfied with the tutoring and the result so far. Very happy with Bregje! In any case, she is a pleasant person and sweet to our daughter. But most of all, she made sure that our daughter got some pleasure in math.
