Valkenburg sfeervolle gastsuite (RIVM proof)

Our room with roof terrace was located in the center of Valkenburg. After a fifteen minute walk from a nearby residential area, where it was possible to park safely for free, we arrived pleasantly surprised upon entering. When I saw the bed, the first thought was immediate action. Be warned, after a glass of the wine as a welcome gift, we could hardly get out. Just the air conditioning on and we were sold. The room is stylishly decorated which embraces cozy tranquility. Fairly light, so for the light sleeper we recommend a sleeping mask Fridge available, not really cold but great for drinks. Showering was wonderful, several sprays including a rain shower with enough towels. Very friendly by phone, very professional and also as if someone from the family just called to check that everything is in order. View from the room is a continuous street and on the other side a beautifully maintained private garden. There is a reasonable flow of people, which makes it amusing to sit at the table, as if you were occupying a small hidden terrace with your partner. A few stairs and you are on the roof terrace, what a wonderful experience. There is a parking lot at a height across the street, which is fairly quiet and does not disturb. The people in Valkenburg are generally a bit more relaxed than the ones towards the north. Downstairs you look out on running water, ducks resting on a stone, the crowd coming by and in the evening a spectacle of light. The terrace is not finished yet due to Corona which is very understandable, but it promises to be something very special. We are certainly curious about the end result. It was sweltering hot during our stay and no umbrella for security reasons. In any case, we hid from the sun under the shade of the flower boxes, to still be able to sit comfortably. In the morning and especially in the evening, the view of the sky and ruins is an idyllic spot. In between all the hustle and bustle with such tranquility, we nominate this stay as one of our best!
