The experience here was nothing short of a 5 star. One should get to know the story of the place and the king which totally ads to the experience. Service was excellent, very cozy place with an amazing ambiance. Food was on point as well. Would recommend the king's Meal, the meat was so soft and tender and combined very well with a peanut sauce. The wooden interiors add to the antique vibe here and gave a sense of an Irish pub. Highly recommended!

Bruin eetcafé with a nice atmosphere. Tasty dinner but drinks are pricey. Service can be a bit rude. Be careful when you seat down at the tables, there's a carving on the woodwork that's exactly at head level!

My favorite beer bar in Groningen. A great selection of Dutch craft beers on tap. And the bartender usually offers some great conversation.
