Cosy and intimate, simple and rustic. The food was outstanding with an uncomplicated menu offering a variety of Italian food, in some cases with a great chef’s twist. You won’t be disappointed with the portions or the price considering the quality of the food. Don’t miss your table, book in advance and enjoy.

The best Italian restaurant in town without a shadow of a doubt. Gustatio checks all the boxes: homemade Italian food, high quality ingredients, friendly staff, authentic recipes, genuine Italian atmosphere and everything on the menu is simply delicious (take it from someone who has tasted almost everything on the menu by now). Just to give an idea on how good the food is: since I discovered this gastronomic treasure, my family has been coming to visit me from Germany way more often... and I am pretty sure there is a direct correlation 😂 Gustatio is an authentically tasty piece of Italy in the heart of Groningen! I have been going to Gustatio for over a year now, and I can confidently say it is both the best restaurant in Groningen as well as my personal favorite. If I ever leave Groningen I will visit solely for the purpose of dining here again! It is an intimate setting, with amazing traditional Italian food that is made perfectly. The staff is incredibly kind and gracious. Furthermore, the owner always makes an effort to greet and check-in on the table, which is much appreciated. One can tell that he is passionate about the food and the experience. I recommend the Bruschetta Salmone, Gnocchi al Nero di Seppia, Spaghetti di Mare, and the cannoli. If you choose to go to Gustatio, you will not regret it in the slightest! I cannot praise this place enough.
