Excellent museum about one of the first orphanages in the Netherlands. There's a pretty café in what was the orphanage's kitchen. Everything is in Dutch, but there is an English booklet available and many videos and animations to easily understand how it was organized.

Beautiful old restored orphanage museum in the historic center of Culemborg, on the river Lek. Inside there is a very complete permanent collection illustrating the life and history of an orphanage from the 17th to the 19th century. In the attic is a collection of historic items from private collections, illustrated by the excellent photographer Roelien van Neck, from Nijmegen.
