This was a bucket list item to sleep in a lighthouse. The stay was an adventure. The accommodation was great. The views were amazing. You could walk out on the very top level. We chose to drink wine and have our breakfast on the top level, watching the people below and the ships entering and leaving the harbor. The bed shape was interesting but it was comfortable. The breakfast was abundant and delivered to the door. I will not forget our stay here. Just a warning there are many steps to climb so pack lightly.

Beautiful cozy location, spectacular 360 degree views. Perfect to enjoy sunset, sunrise or even the occasional storm. The place for that special day.

This is a really beautiful seaside town and harbor. The lighthouse is of an Art Deco style and is open for rental as a hotel. The houses and buildings around the town are brick and well kept. This is an active port as well. Many sailboats (private and tourist) sail from the harbor over to Vlieland and West Terschelling as well as a ferry. The ferry was a wonderful vantage point to photograph the sailing boats and include the islands and shoals in the Waddensee. The town is picturesque and well worth spending time wandering around the port.
