Turned away after reception closed on a Sunday at 19:00 had to sleep in the woods (illegal in Holland) , staff were not helpful. I have a tiny tent and would have required a very small amount of space and offered to leave deposit at the open Resteraunt/bar/evening reception until the morning when I could pay up properly.
Nice and quiet place
Rabbit Hill is a lovely place to be. Beautiful surroundings, peace and luxury !!
Nice place in the middle of the woods where you can still enjoy real peace and space.
Upon arrival of our 14-day stay, everything seemed in perfect order at bungalow 16. Unfortunately, it turned out to be apparent. The 'bed' we slept on seemed 2 centuries old, we literally lay on a slatted base. The manager changed mattresses in the house, so we slept on 2 mattresses and bed linen no longer fit. No bottom sheets included with the sheet package. Upon arrival, hair was removed from the sink in the sink. 'Cleaning stuff' was left dirty in the bathroom. House was unhygienic, found in dirty trash can, under the bag a cadaver, remnants of empty bottles, etc. Grill was covered with cockroaches. Oven was not working. Owner of farm 16, had himself? notes everywhere with 'hidden defects' We have always rented houses (30 years) but never experienced anything like it! And this in Corona time! Kitchen incomplete, microwave was in the basement. The basement door was identical to the hallway door, in the living room, so you could easily be mistaken and fall into the basement. Never again!
To top it all off, we did not get the deposit back, because we would not have left the house tidy ... We left it cleaner than we found it, see photos. Due to a bug in Google, photos cannot (yet) be posted. Hopefully later !!
