BDS, or "Extraordinary Service and Social!" We returned from holiday on Terschelling last week. Unfortunately we were unable to leave immediately upon arrival at the car park due to an empty battery. The manager on duty then made every effort to get our car running again. Even borrowed a tow rope from the construction workers working next to the site. When all efforts eventually failed, we were allowed to wait for the roadside assistance in his shed while enjoying a cup of coffee. We experienced the helpfulness of the manager on duty as very pleasant, which eased the suffering of the car not starting. Thanks! You will certainly see us again next year!

From Belgium by car, Good Friday did not seem to be good for us, because shortly before Harlingen we found a broken headlight in addition to a flat tire. Had booked a Parking Space at BDS for an Easter sailing weekend and spoke to them about our problem upon arrival, as we had to be able to return home by car on Easter Monday. Everything was neatly arranged and resolved by BDS so that it even became a very good Friday and very nice Easter days in Friesland. Thank you BDS !!! .

If you politely pay in advance but do not get any compensation back when you return a day earlier because 'we can not start', I do not think that is particularly friendly. Everyone deserves a second chance, but I'm driving a bit further now.

Car parked for 4 days. Greeted very kindly on arrival, also paid immediately and told that we did not know yet which boat we would take back today depending on the weather. This afternoon with the 3.30 pm boat back from Terschelling to Harlingen. Rained wet on our walk back to the parking lot. When we got there at 5.50 pm we found the parking lot closed, although it is clearly indicated that they are open from 8 am to 8 pm. Called and we were told he would be there in 10 minutes. Cold numb having to wait over 20 minutes with my 84 year old mom. No apologies were offered and we will not recommend this parking space and will certainly never use it again.
