Many people leave negative reviews here just because they are angry, rather than really judging their treatment. Disclaimer: I am young (19 of the time, now 21) and white so this may have affected my experience and treatment. Of course things sometimes go wrong and sometimes even the police break the law, and I don't want to debunk those situations, and I realize that my treatment might have been different if I was part of a minority, emphasis on maybe, but I don't want to deny that it is an existing problem. I was picked up from my house for excessive drug use and I was at risk to myself and suicidal in that state. They had confiscated some drugs which was quite far above the allowed number, but I didn't get into any problems for that, I think because I had an addiction / was a user, I thought that was neat. I think context is important in such a situation, then always keep the rules exactly for the numbers. The policemen in the car were very nice, and asked about my situation and if I would take steps to improve it. On arrival at the office I had to empty my pockets, give me my belt and shoes, a doctor came to see if I was stable, then they kept me in a cell for 6-8 hours to calm down and let the drugs off to work. Well, it is a cell, a small room with a fairly hard bench. Not very comfortable, but I don't expect a hotel either. Unfortunately I was there a bit longer than intended because there was nobody to transport me, because they got two reports straight after each other which has priority and it is a small desk, this was also midnight. Annoying, but not their fault. The agents who eventually drove me back were unfortunately less nice, they asked about my living situation, and I do have a good financial situation and have a house, then their tone changed very much as if I should not be unhappy because I had a house at a young age. I said I had possessions, but I never felt happy, always empty. And drugs are the only thing that made me feel anything. They said I should respect what I have more and think more positively. I understand they are not psychologists, but I didn't think that was a very nice answer, everyone has problems and concerns, even the richest person in the world. That doesn't make them any less real. They took me home where my father was because I had to be under surveillance, I thanked them and that was that. In general very nicely handled, professional and I didn't feel judged (until the ride back) they were interested in what led me to this, and gave me contact information of aid organizations, which I responded to and eventually became sober. I don't know if the staff here read these reviews, but I think there may be some positive here, and for other people, if you want to be angry with something after an arrest be angry with politics, the law, whatever but, but not the police officers themselves, they do not make those rules.

The taxi ride was good, the room was a little less.

If you want to call them because a dangerous situation arises on a busy road due to a lost obstacle, you have already lost € 3 before you get someone on the line really ridiculous, thought that emergency services were free, but not so you have to pay big. So no more calling if something happens again.

Just 4 police officers are standing in your house. Free car ride, you come there you have to wait pauperlang until you get a room. Badly tiled and a hard bench. Is there a dirty blue blanket in the corner and then you have to entertain yourself for the next few hours. Should you be obliged to wait for a lawyer, they take plenty of time, not in a hurry, of course, because fortunately I have a very hard bench where I can wait for. When that lawyer comes to you after a few hours, he does not have to sit next to it. But I had to wait for it. Then they take my stuff, phone and laptop, and I lost those 11 days and I come to pick them up and they are as full as 11 days ago. In short, no ass performed, so for nothing my belongings have been lost for so long. They also made a mistake by putting my things in the name of someone else so also waiting there. Oh well, and for fun it was only in oosterwolde put down because I have wings and can ff there, it just did not know .. Then ff a tip, if you have to go to the bathroom there you have it an hour in advance to indicate. Again had free taxi back. A whole day sat on a rock hard bench with a blue blanket.

Strange hotel, weird staff. I had rented one for the night. Sooo, treated like some kind of terrorist right on arrival. All my things that I had with me were taken away, I was searched and I was brought to my room very handy. Once there she slammed my door and before I knew it I had nowhere to go. There were only 3 TV channels and I had a view of a number of central heating pipes on the other side of what was supposed to be a window. All in all, worthless. However, the breakfast was completely worthless, a sandwich with cheese, well, we had not expected better. And it was not even possible to take a shower in your own room, it was a separate loft and had 5 minutes with lukewarm water. Not recommended!!!
