If Seen this event around 4-6 times in my life, sadly last time I saw this is now around 10 years ago. Even though that's quite some time, especially if you consider that I was 8 back than, i can say this event really says in mind. All this work those passionate people put in these moments, spectacular. If you are lucky enough to be on the island when that is set, don't miss it enjoy it you never know how long they will be able to do this. Back when I regularly visited Ameland that was way more common (don't quote me on that one but I think like every month or every two weeks int he season). And don't forget to visit the monument of the horse's that died in duty. And if you have some money for a nice museum Tripp go to the lifeboat museum of Ameland, you can see the boat you saw in action in this event, you can see the more modern technology they use today and you can learn something of the history of See rescue.

Very impressive demonstration of how it was years ago.

It's a nice experience seeing the rescue boat and the activities as a whole

A beautiful and especially impressive museum, for both children and adults. You learn everything about the rescue team and you can even see all the gear and the boat. Unfortunately due to Corona not being able to see the horses and people in action, but this place is well worth a visit. Don't forget to make a donation at the end!
