Websites seem to show this as a 2 star hotel, but it is much nicer than that implies. We stayed in Pension Bakema for 5 nights in the deluxe studio and were really impressed. The hotel is very small (just 7 rooms) but immaculately appointed - the furnishing standard was high, beautifully decorated and with a Jacuzzi bath. The location is quiet and well located: 1 minute from the centre of Nes and it's restaurants, and walkable in 20 minutes from the ferry. Breakfast was of high quality - an excellent buffet selection of food was laid out. The host was welcoming and they were happy to help, including putting a bottle of champagne in the room for us on request. Highly recommended!

Loved it. If you are looking for a nice quiet bed and breakfast, with friendly people to welcome you, this is certainly a good place. It is well situated in the main village on Ameland, at walking distance of the centre and restaurants.

Suite with bathroom including whirlpool bath was nice and clean. Delicious breakfast, nice owners and great location with regard to catering, shops, bus stops and nature, everything within walking distance.

Goede service, erg gastvrij en uitstekend ontbijt. Daarnaast op een prima locatie gelegen. Enkele minuten lopen van het centrum van Nes gelegen.
